Avery is the quiet strength behind the scenes. Shy by nature and soft spoken in company, he is the classic strong and silent type. Friendly, warm, and a little bashful, he carries a touch of social anxiety that finds its calm in the garden he loves tending. Among plants, soil, and sunlight, he is fully at ease.

He grew up in Newmarket, Ontario, alongside his father, brother, and his great grandparents, Bud and Vera, whose kindness and generosity shaped the person he became. Their influence lives on in his patient nature and instinct to care for others. He remains close with his extended family in Keswick, often spending time with his grandmother, aunt, and cousins who form a tight-knit circle around him.

Travel has always been part of his story. Annual trips to Disney and long road journeys to Florida in his grandparents’ RV made adventure feel like home. His encyclopedic knowledge of Disney is legendary, and his upcoming visit to Japan’s Disney parks and Universal in April 2026 is more than a trip. It is a tribute to the grandparents who first sparked that wonder.

For the past six years, Avery has worked tirelessly at Breakwall Bar and Grill just up the street. When the day ends there, his time belongs to Stephen and Mango. During the quiet of the pandemic, he and Stephen explored Ontario together, discovering hidden corners and creating lasting memories.

As cohost of the Airbnb, Avery’s care shows in the details guests rarely see but always feel. He is constantly cleaning, organizing, refreshing spaces, and taking on small DIY projects that quietly improve the guest experience. From perfecting the garden view to making sure every room feels calm, tidy, and welcoming, he treats the home as if every arrival is personal. Much of what guests love about their stay is a reflection of his steady, behind-the-scenes effort.

Summer reveals his favourite rhythm. You will find him at the city pool (his diving skills have made him a bit of a celebrity amongst the regulars), at the beach across the street, or out on a bike ride. At home, he is always fine-tuning, ensuring everything is in place, and keeping the house guest ready at all times. Mango is rarely far from his side, and the way Mango looks at Avery says more than words ever could.

Avery does not seek attention, yet his presence is felt everywhere. In the garden, in the home, and in the quiet care he gives to the people and spaces around him.
